The Strasbourg International Film Festival has announced its short program for 2009, to which Thorns has been named an official selection. The 10-day film fest runs from Aug 28 to Sep 6 in Strasbourg, France and Kehl, Germany. For more information, please visit the festival website.

Thorns was accepted today to air at the SSG Summer Shorts Fest, to be held in the Wilshire Screening Room (8670 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 112) in Beverly Hills. The SSG Summer Shorts Fest runs July 24-26. For more information, please visit the festival link above.

The crew received word today that Thorns has been named an official selection at the 4th annual Jersey Shore Film Festival, which runs July 8-18. In addition, the film has been nominated for an award, with the winner being announced at the close of the festival. For more information, please visit the festival link above.

Although three minutes too long to qualify for competition, Thorns begins airing today in the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival, which runs until May 24. If you happen to be in the south of France to attend the festival, drop by and check it out! Keep an eye out for director Neil Thompson, editor C. Eric Powell, and writer Eldon Thompson, who will be in attendance throughout the week of May 13-19.

A public screening of Thorns will be held in Hollywood on Thursday, April 9, 2009. Attendees are welcome. No reservations are required.
